Office Energy
Equipment, lighting and climate control: areas where solar power can make a direct contribution.
From reforestation to solar power: projects and investments for a more sustainable future.
Our Environmental Commitment
For CIS & MET, sustainability means concrete choices: we have invested in planting trees and generating solar energy for our offices. Two different projects with one shared commitment: reducing our impact and helping protect the environment.

We have supported tree planting in Italy and, with Treedom, in Ghana. An investment in tree growth, biodiversity and long-term environmental value.
We have installed south-facing solar panels to generate part of the electricity used in the CIS & MET offices. This gives us direct access to renewable energy and reduces the electricity drawn from the grid while the system is generating power.
The CIS & MET website previously published an indicative estimate of annual emissions for an IT company of around 15 people in Emilia-Romagna: 18,283 kg of CO₂/year, covering office consumption, commuting and digital services. This is neither a certified inventory nor a current measurement of the company's emissions.

Commuting is one of the items included in the previously published indicative estimate.
We also recognise the indirect impact of using external IT services.
