Personal data processing notice
Website and contact privacy
Information for website visitors and people contacting us, under the GDPR and the Italian Privacy Code.
01 / Controller and scope
The data controller is CIS & MET Informatica Srl, Via Ferruccio Ferrari 4, 42124 Reggio Emilia (RE), Italy, VAT number 01496100353. For information and requests concerning personal data: info@cismet.it, telephone +39 0522 383025.
This notice, provided under Article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), covers browsing cismet.it and enquiries made using the contact details published on the website. Support portals, CM-WebSuite and linked external websites have their own scope and notices. Processing carried out on behalf of customers when providing software services is governed by the relevant agreements and is not described in full on this page.
02 / Personal data we process
Technical browsing data: IP address, date and time of requests, requested pages and resources, request outcomes, and information about the browser, device and connection. These data may be recorded in hosting and security system logs.
Voluntarily provided data: email address, name, business contact details, company and any message content or attachments you choose to send. Contact buttons open your email application: the website does not contain a form that stores the enquiry directly in a database.
Cookie and preference data: choices expressed in the banner and, only after consent to measurement, usage data, cookie identifiers, events and session statistics collected by Google Analytics 4. Please do not send special category data, identity documents or other information that is unnecessary for your enquiry.
03 / Purposes and legal bases
Website operation and security: delivering pages, identifying faults, preventing unauthorised access and managing incidents. The legal basis is the controller’s legitimate interest in maintaining an available and secure website while respecting users’ rights (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Handling enquiries: responding to requests for information, quotations and support. For pre-contractual steps or a contract with the individual concerned, the basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR; for business representatives’ contact details and other professional enquiries, it is the legitimate interest in managing relationships and responding (point (f)).
Website statistics: understanding how pages are used through Google Analytics 4. The legal basis is optional, revocable consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Article 122 of the Italian Privacy Code). Refusal does not prevent browsing or contacting the company.
Legal obligations and protection of rights: complying with applicable obligations (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR) and, where necessary, establishing, exercising or defending rights (legitimate interest, point (f)).
Contacting us by email is optional; without essential contact details or information we may be unable to handle the enquiry. Marketing consent is not required to receive a response. Contact data are not used for solely automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects on the individual.
04 / Cookies and preferences
The website uses necessary technical tools and Google Analytics 4 for measurement. The two Analytics scripts in the pages remain inactive until consent is given for measurement. Preferences are managed through iubenda Privacy Controls and Cookie Solution.
You can accept, reject or change your choices in the banner and reopen the panel using the cookie preferences link. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal. Browsing alone does not constitute consent.
The Cookie Policy lists the tools, their purposes and their lifetimes. A cookie’s lifetime on the device is distinct from the retention period for the data collected. You can also use browser settings to delete cookies already present.
05 / Providers and recipients
Data are accessible to authorised personnel according to their duties and to providers required to operate the website and handle enquiries, including hosting, email and IT maintenance. Where they act on our behalf, these providers must be governed as processors under Article 28 GDPR.
The website is hosted by Netsons S.r.l.; iubenda s.r.l. provides the hosted notices and cookie preference management; Google provides Google Analytics 4. Details of the Analytics service and its provider appear in the Iubenda Privacy Policy linked from this page.
Data may also be disclosed to advisers and authorities where necessary to meet obligations or protect rights. Data sent in enquiries are not published on the website. You can request current details of recipients and processors by writing to info@cismet.it.
06 / Processing outside the EEA
The use of third-party services, particularly Google Analytics 4, may involve processing outside the European Economic Area, including the United States. We therefore do not state that all website data remain exclusively in Italy or the European Union.
Transfers are subject to Chapter V GDPR: adequacy decisions, including the EU-US Data Privacy Framework for certified entities and covered processing, or other applicable safeguards such as standard contractual clauses. You can ask the controller for information about transfers and a copy of the relevant safeguards. Provider notices are available through the links on this page and in the Iubenda policy.
07 / Retention criteria
Email enquiries: for the time needed to respond and complete the handling of the enquiry and any follow-up exchanges. If a contractual relationship arises, relevant records follow the periods required by that relationship and applicable legal obligations. Retention for a dispute is limited to necessary data and the period needed to protect the right concerned.
Technical and security logs: for the period serving delivery, diagnosis and protection of the service under the hosting settings; additional retention is justified only by an incident requiring investigation, a dispute or a specific obligation. Details of the applicable settings can be requested from the controller.
Cookies, statistics and records of preferences: according to the Cookie Policy lifetimes, the settings applicable to the service and the period needed to document choices and meet related obligations. Consent-based measurement data are not collected before an affirmative choice. At the end of the applicable periods, data must be deleted or anonymised.
08 / Email and absence of mailing lists
The website does not currently offer newsletter or mailing list subscriptions. Sending an enquiry does not subscribe you to promotional communications. We do not use opening-tracking pixels in email communications managed directly by CIS & MET.
Any future introduction of newsletters or tracking will be preceded by an updated notice and the legal bases and choice mechanisms required. Consent to website cookies does not automatically constitute consent to newsletters or email tracking.
09 / Your rights
In the cases and within the limits of Articles 15-22 GDPR, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction and portability of data, and object to processing based on legitimate interest on grounds relating to your situation. You may withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future.
Write to info@cismet.it describing your request and providing the information needed to identify it. We respond without undue delay and normally within one month; extensions or restrictions are handled and explained in accordance with the GDPR. You may lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority or the competent supervisory authority and seek a judicial remedy.
10 / Updates and related documents
Version dated 29 October 2026. This page and the linked Iubenda policies describe the website and the processing identified here. Material changes will be communicated through updated documents and, where necessary, specific notices or a new consent request.
11 / Public aid and transparency
Any State aid and de minimis aid received by the company can be consulted in the Italian National State Aid Register, in accordance with applicable transparency obligations.
Let's review your workflow, existing integrations and operational priorities together.
